Traditional 10 minute consultations are simply not long enough so we are proud to offer 20 minute consultations as standard. by investing this time we can build strong, trusting relationships with both pets and their people! by keeping our team small, we can also offer excellent continuity of care giving us a better long term understanding of your individual pets' health.

Our staff are palpably passionate about client education and are genuinely interested in veterinary medicine and animal health, so we know that helping you understand and make informed decisions is just as important as treating your pets. you'll find our vets drawing diagrams on whiteboards, talking you through test results, answering follow up questions and directing you to more information whenever possible.

Our Practice

We have modern, general practice facilities including:

Fully equipped operating surgical suite.
Imaging suite with digital x-ray, cardiac and abdominal ultrasound and endoscopy.
Dental suite including dental x-ray.
Modern hospital kennels with separate dog and cat wards.
In-house laboratory offering a wide range of diagnostics.
ECG.
Blood pressure monitor.
Tonometer.

Trevisker Consulting Room

Our 'pop up' consulting room at Trevisker Garden Centre is ideal for out-patient services such as vaccinations, consultations and blood sampling.

Should more involved investigations be required, a 10 minute trip into Wadebridge may be recommended.

Our current 'pop-up' clinic days are Wednesdays and Friday mornings.

Our Journey

Wave vets was created and developed by Ian Gibbs. Starting out as a mobile vets in June 2020. our aim was to provide veterinary care to the community during the covid lockdown. With regular pop up clinics at Lidl and Trevisker garden centre along with home visits we proved very popular. We quickly found that we needed more than Bessy our converted NHS ambulance so rented a small unit in St Ervan for surgical procedures and inpatients. In September 2021 we were offered the opportunity to make a practice in the heart of Wadebridge town where we have converted 2 units on Goldsworthy Way into our home for what we hope is a very long future.
